I started collecting Madame Alexander dolls about 4 years ago when I found a couple of the 8 inch dolls on sale at a doll show. They were so wonderfully made, top quality and the outfits were so cute, I had to have them. My first dolls were the Dinosaur, Coco, and Twenties Traveler. I love the new 20 inch Cissy dolls, the 10 inch Cissettes and my new favorite, the new 17 inch Coco fashion doll.
The following pictures are of my 10" Cisettes and 8" dolls. I like to collect dolls with
themes of the holidays or just dolls in unusual outfits.
Here are some dolls that represent my Year 2000 collection. I think the Sanchez
Cissy is very futuristic, so she is in the group, as is the silver skinned "Allegra", from the
Cirque De Soleil collection, the Alexander convention doll, Electra and the decades collection, Blast Off 2000.
Ginny 2000 is also in the picture.
Here is my newest 8" doll, Groovy Girl from the decades collection, representing the 1970's. She has
jointed knees and an adorable tatoo on her tummy. She also comes with her own beanbag chair. Her friends are
two TY beanies, Groovy and Peace.
Here are two new additions, the Gemini Twins from the Zodiac collection in the African American version.
They fit right in my Egyptian collection with their little togas and gold sandels and exotic looks.
This is the newest Harley Davidson doll and she is a sexy thing! Gorgeous thick red hair and a sexy little leather look outfit. She even has a tatoo on her back.
Here is a group of Madame Alexander egyptian dolls - the newest Egypt 8" doll with his sarcophagus, Pandora, the 12" Cleopatra and the 10" Cissette Cleopatra at the top.
Another new addition to my Madame Alexander collection is Crystal Blue Enchantment a Home Shopping Network exclusive. She is a 10" Cissette dressed in blue satin trimmed in crystals and rhinestones. She has a unique upswept hairdo and very unusual light pink lip color. Her tulle cape is trimmed in flowers around her neck, each centered with a rhinestone. This doll is exquisite.
The two Coca Cola dolls together. On the left, the blonde Carhop, and on the right, the Afro American Christmas Coca Cola Fantasy doll.
Here are four 10 inch Cissettes - from the left, the Coca Cola Carhop, Trapeze, Shadow Jackie and limited edition Southern Belle made for the My Doll House store in 1989.
A Selection of my Halloween themed dolls. From the left, the Pumpkin from Trick & Treat, a set of two made in a limited edition of 3000 for A Child at Heart store, Mr. & Mrs. Frankenstein and the Black Cat from the Trick & Treat set.
More of my Halloween collection. Little Devil on the left, Little Witch and the 10 inch Samantha the Witch from Bewitched and the Bumblebee.
The 8 inch Liberace entertains two friends, 20's Traveler and Coco at his little piano.
The 10 inch Little Mermaid and the new Samantha the Witch from Bewitched. The dress colors are very similar on these two dolls.
Some of my 8" dolls. From the left, the little Dinosaur, My Little Sweetheart, a 1992 limited edition of 4500 from A Child at Heart store, the 1996 Happy Chanukah doll, Ireland and Brazil.
Here is the bicentennial Betsy Ross 8" doll from 1976. She wears a dress with blue stars and red dots and carries her piece of the American Flag.
These two dolls were designed by Candy Spelling and manufactured by Madame Alexander. This photo shows the wonderful underclothes they wear under the gowns. The detail and quality of the clothing on these dolls is comparable to other Madame Alexander dolls, but these are limited editions of 1,000 dolls. They come with custom jewelry stockings and satin teddies, are 17 inches tall and made of vinyl. They were sold by QVC Shopping Network.
Another picture of the Candi Spelling dolls, Catherine and Cassandra showing their evening gowns.
This photo shows another Candi Spelling doll, Julie in the gold gown. This is a stunning doll. I raised one side of her gown so you could see the beautiful lace petticoat underneath, trimmed in gold. With her in the center is the Grecian Goddess Barbie and the 8 inch Madam Alexander limited edition Pandora. Pandora and the Grecian Barbie look great together.
