Cissy in custom wigs & outfits

I love to sew outfits for Cissy and change her hair color using wigs purchased from Charles Josef. The wigs have stretch caps, so they don't have to be permanently attached to the dolls head. I can change her wig when I change her outfit!!!

I'm using a Venice Cissy doll as my "play doll", removed her original wig and change her hair color to match her outfits. Below are some photos of her in a flaming red wig, a long black wig and her extra long outrageous pink wig!!!

Here Cissy is getting ready for Halloween in a 3 piece outfit consisting of slacks, a blouse with cuffs & collar that coordinate with the slacks in a tiny moon print on maroon cotton, and a smock-style jacket that is lined in the tiny moon pattern so that it can be reversed for a totally different look. The outfit was made from a vintage 1958 Simplicity Dollikin/Cissy pattern

Another view of this outfit showing the back & without the jacket.
