Madame Alexander Cissy Dolls

I started collecting Madame Alexander Cissy dolls when the new Cissys came out in 1996. They were so wonderfully made, top quality and I love the large 20" dolls. Since I had been collecting the 19" Dollikin dolls from the late 1950's, the new Cissys display beautifully with them.

My newest addition for 2000, the Cissy Cairo doll! She is absolutely gorgeous and comes with a lot of mix and match clothing.

Here she is in her strapless top and matching gown and slip with a gold lace front panel. She carries her gold shawl.

Here she is wearing just the gold lace slip with her gold lace overjacket and her blue strapless top.

Here she is in her strapless top, shorts, headdress and platform sandels.

Here is the limited edition Rose Splendor doll from late 1998. She is 16" tall, more Coco's size rather than Cissys, but she definately competes with Cissy in her elegance.

This is the Fernando Sanchez designer Cissyfrom 1999. She is a limited edition of only 600 total dolls. The platinum hair is quite unique for Cissy and her gown and gorgeous evening coat are nearly 30" long!

Here is the Miss St. John Cissy, made exclusively for Neiman Marcus stores in the limited edition of 750 in 1999. She has short blonde hair with frosted tips and wears a St. John knit 3 piece suit. Her jewelry is custom and she carries a tiny leather briefcase that really opens with tiny latches. She's gorgeous!.

Here are two more additions to my collection - Daisy Resort Cissy from 1997 in her lounge chair showing off her bathing suit and the black Cissy from last year wearing the other outfit that comes with the Daisy Resort Cissy, the slacks and jacket, gloves and hat. This is a fabulous set with two outfits and great doll, a chair and lots of accessories.

Here is Daisy Resort Cissy wearing her robe, swimsuit and sunglasses along with the Tea Rose Cissy in her pink print cocktail dress. This is the Afro-American doll. She is stunning in this color combination.

Here are two Afro-American Cissys, the Ebony and Ivory Cissy from 1996 wearing this years Daisy Resort slacks and jacket and Tea Rose Cissy from 1997 wearing her hat. These dolls are so gorgeous and top quality in every way.

This picture shows the Afro American Cissy in the Houndstooth suit without her hat and jacket. This doll is unbelievably beautiful. The face is magnificent. The photo does not do her justice. This doll in the AA version was very limited and hard to find.

This photo shows the large Leopard Travel Cissy from 1996 along with her 10 1/2 inch counterpart, the Bloomingdales Leopard Travel Cissette.
